The telehealth finish line for therapy professionals has been pushed from March 31st to September 30th, 2025.
H.R. 1968 was passed by the House and Senate and is now awaiting the President’s signature. This Bill included language that allows therapy professionals to continue to provide telehealth to Medicare beneficiaries through September 30th, 2025. The Bill extends the rules currently in place from the Public Health Emergency, including the SNF setting, that were set to expire 3/31/25.
[Updated to add: President signed into this into Law on 3/15/25]
Check it out for yourself. Here is the link to HR 1968 on Congress.gov.
In the PDF version linked above, everything you need is on page 91-92. See screen shot below with highlighted language.

For the telehealth history timeline for therapist, this is a good read.
Navigate the document below. It has links to the Social Security Act telehealth language where you can see the original and temporary rule changes. Start with Title II – Medicare – Section 2207 under Medicare.

I guess we will meet back here in September to see what happens?!
