For those therapy professionals trying to keep track of the status of telehealth provision for 2025, it has been touch and go, especially in the last few days!
The White House put out a statement that today, 12/21/24, President Joe Biden signed into law the short-term funding bill.
This Bill, H.R. 10545, was cut down from 1,500 pages to 120 pages, and included language that allows therapy professions to continue to provide telehealth to Medicare beneficiaries for a few more months, ending on March 31, 2025. The Bill extends the rules currently in place from the Public Health Emergency that were set to expire 12/31/24, with a new expiration date of 3/31/25.
Check it out for yourself.

In the PDF version above, everything you need is on page 102, starting on line 6, and specifically lines 18-22. (Screen shot above)
For the telehealth history timeline for therapist, this is a good read.
Who is looking forward to doing this again in March???
